Application:
Ferro molybdenum is used instead of pure molybdenum in the producing of steel, cast iron and alloys. Molybdenum improves the hardenability of steel, increases its viscosity, eliminates the tempering brittleness of chromium-nickel steel, and helps to preserve the properties of steel at high temperatures. The addition of molybdenum to cast iron increases its strength and resistance to wear.
